How to publish data from a private sheet?

On one of my other websites, I have my stock portfolio page where I want to show my readers how successful my investment is. Today I will show you How I publish data from private sheets where I have saved all the information and my readers could see just an overview.

Preparation

In Google Sheets when I had all my data I have two lists. One list where all information about my positions with detailed information for me…

… the data from the private list I’ve exported to another list with QUERY function. Where I could select part of the information which I want to publish. You could see that I publish from the “super private” table with 11 columns just 5 columns.

This is how can I successfully prepare a “public” list in a “private” sheet. And now we must publish it.

Publishing private sheet

For this, I’ve created another Google Sheet document In which I use function IMPORTRANGE function where I select the target sheet and range that I want to import. And this sheet I made public and I sharing this link with others.

So in my private sheet, I’ve created a list that is used for exporting. And this list I’ve imported this to the public Sheet which I link from the website. So my stock stats are public and I could track more metrics that could see just me.
